Economics (Dual Degree Programme with Tsinghua University) (Year 3 Student)
Hong Kong is an international city that serves as a bridge between East and West, so studying here opens a lot of doors, and there’s also no better place to learn business pitching and hone my soft skills. Similarly, CUHK is a university where East meets West. One can get the best of both worlds by developing an Asian perspective on top of the international one deeply ingrained in the city. There is also a great mix of local and non-local students at CUHK, so it’s nice to meet and learn from people from all walks of life.

香港中文大學是一所開放多元,文化共融的學校。在這裡,作為內地生的我參加了很多活動,不僅有中國傳統文化相關的,例如中秋遊園、美食文化節;還瞭解了香港本地和外國的文化,例如學習泰拳、空中瑜伽,和書院同學一起遠足,為少數族裔的小朋友教授粵語等等…中大為我提供了一個高平臺,令我開闊視野,增長見識,更加瞭解尊重與喜愛多元文化。我真的很喜歡我的大學生活,為我留下了寶貴的回憶。
工商管理學士綜合課程(一年級)
我是一名來自英國的學生,高中時在一所本地國際學校讀書,所以大多數人都以為我會選擇到外國升學。我最終選擇入讀香港中文大學,而且認為自己做了一個正確的決定。中大提供很多與來自世界各地的學生交流的機會。例如,大學有許多學生學生組織,舉辦很多的交流活動。另外,我從課堂中也認識了很多本地和外國學生,建立了深厚的友誼。在中大的美好回憶,激勵我決定申請成為崇基書院的國際協會執行委員會成員,希望能為大學的新生創造一個溫暖和包容的社群。總的來說,中大是一所提倡多樣性和包容性的大學,熱情好客的環境常被學生稱為「第二個家」。
Journalism and Communication (Year 1 Student)
CUHK is such a place that welcomes people from all around the world. As a New Zealand-born Chinese coming to CUHK, I was impressed by the mature system of the student associations which consist of the International Student Association (ISA), and Mainland Student Association as well as many other unions from colleges. Before I came to CUHK, executive committees from ISA sent us the link to join their group chat, and carry out many Q&A sessions for freshmen there. In the past, I was super introvertive when talking with others, but via feeling their empathy and passion in helping freshmen, it seems CUHKers are creating a nice vibe, and I found it interesting and valuable in communicating with different CUHKers, actively engaging in learning something new from them. Besides, CUHK also established the intercultural exchange Activities that Hong Kong students and Internationals participate altogether to gain knowledge of global culture, which I value much for my university life. That is mainly why I choose CUHK such a student-oriented society for academic investigation.
新聞與傳播學(一年級)
俄烏戰爭持續,我曾想像烏克蘭人會每天以淚洗面,生活於恐懼之中。然而,一位就讀紐約大學(布拉格)的烏克蘭學生提到:「哭泣只會窒礙奮鬥。」即使面臨生命威脅,他們仍願意回到烏克蘭完成大學學業。這讓我比以往更加珍惜自己所擁有的一切,亦激勵我在艱難時期要保持堅毅不屈及積極樂觀的態度,迎接各式各樣的挑戰。
內外全科醫學士學位課程(一年級)
作為新亞書院/耶魯大學學生交流活動(YUNA)的其中一位參加者,我很高興能與另外七位新亞書院的學生,親身到美國耶魯大學及紐約,就『種族,移民及身份』的主題,與當地學生進行交流。在美國,我有機會到訪因為歷史及政治因素而被認為是文化熔爐的紐黑文市,訪問移民紐黑文市的阿富汗人、參觀當地的慈善組織,和觀賞一齣由學生主演,與華裔美國人代際矛盾有關的舞台劇。這次交流的經驗,讓我覺醒到於回到香港後,應與我成長的社區有更多的接觸。因此,我為回訪香港的耶魯大學學生安排了遊覽活動,並訪問了與本次交流主題有關的本地學者及社區人士。對於參加者來說,我們最大的得著一定是與耶魯同學的互動及交流。雖然大家的背景不同,我們發掘到彼此共同之處,並不受地域、文化和種族所限,令我們反思『非我即他』的說法,更關注人與人之間團結共融的重要性。
我很慶幸能前往牛津大學哈特福學院參加為期三週的暑期課程。課程內容豐富且具互動性,涵蓋英國文學、人類學、電影製作、商業演說等。除此之外,我參加了各種文化活動如撐船、打迷你高爾夫球、體驗英國酒吧等,結識了友善的當地人。到訪布萊尼姆宮、國家美術館和大英博物館也令我大開眼界。這次旅程令我獲得了寶貴的經驗和友誼,並促進個人成長。
計量金融學(三年級)
在巴黎高等商學院的交換,開始於帶著對「歐洲第一商學院」的好奇走進豐富有趣的專業課堂,與來自世界各地的朋友交流市場與觀點,也去向南法的蔚藍海岸,去向瑞士的剔透雪山,再踏上回到香港的飛機,我帶回亞歐大陸另一邊的智慧,與充實而輕盈的靈魂。
工商管理學士綜合課程及新聞與傳播學(二年級)
工商管理及新聞與傳播學雙學位課程很適合對商業及新聞傳媒感興趣的同學。商學生可以根據自己的強項,在眾多課程中選擇專修範圍,例如大數據與計量營銷學、創業學及金融學等。分組報告及個案研究也加深了我對市場最新趨勢和企業營運策略的理解。新聞與傳播的課程極具互動性,最令我印象深刻的是擔任主播在錄影廠報道新聞。在實習期間,我與來自不同背景的人合作,在專案上進行市場研究及數據分析,提升了溝通及批判性思考的能力。這些知識和技能讓我在實習時更得心應手,也有助我邁向成為企業家之路。
Biomedical Engineering (Year 2 Student)
The academic curriculum at CUHK sufficiently accommodates students to acquire technical skills and knowledge in their field, not just through lectures but also through experiential learning in scenario-based projects. The opportunities provided by CUHK for its students are endless, and I am immensely grateful to be a part of the 2024 CUHK IGEM team, which has given me an incredible chance to learn outside the classroom. Based on my experiences studying here, I am truly amazed by how passionate the professors are in helping students reach their learning goals, not only through teaching in class but also by sharing their experiences in the field. Moreover, I am impressed by the rigor of the curriculum at CUHK, which shapes students into better versions of themselves. I am proud to say that I have learned a lot during my studies here.

還是想對當初選擇入讀港中大的自己講聲感謝,令到我在這樣一個自由、廣闊的平台展現自己,追尋夢想。中大給予學生賦能以卓越的學術質素、寶貴的人文關懷、全面的職業支持。在追求我的第一學位(新聞與傳播)的過程之中,我在學系設置的實踐課程中,接觸到各行業真實的品牌客戶,並同我的組員為其設計提供具有較高可行性的整合行銷campaign。透過這些課程,使得我提前就沈浸在最真實的職場環境中,為我在未來的求職之中,提供了莫大的助益。
心理學(二年級)
我很享受在香港中文大學學習。除了書本上的學習,我更可以透過參與服務活動反思自己和社會。去年參與uShine SEN服務隊,我了解到擁有特殊學習需要的人所面對的挑戰,以及倡議維護他們權益和自主的重要性。我和一班志同道合的同學一起舉辦機構探訪和工作坊,希望讓中大的同學更了解和接納SEN同學,同時鼓勵他們體諒和覺察自己内在的需要。這些經驗都讓我更關注社會議題,並致力於倡議一個更包容、平等的社區,讓殘疾人士發現自己的價值和能力。
Integrated BBA Programme (Year 1 Student)
“CUHK is the place Where Great Minds Shine”. As a world-class university, CUHK not only provides students with a high-quality and cutting-edge education but also allows them to unlock their potential and hidden talents! I’m not just talking about developing interpersonal skills, but also the opportunity to get involved in the sporting life of the university. Although I have always been interested in extracurricular activities in high school and even had my own large-scale project, I thought that it would be much more challenging for me to be proactive at CUHK because it is a completely new environment for me. However, this turned out to be completely opposite! As a Student Ambassador and Vice President of the Central Asian Association at CUHK, I am involved in organizing events and have the honor to represent CUHK at outreach meetings. In addition, I have received two awards from my college for academic excellence and contribution to the social life of the university. Thus, CUHK not only supports but also encourages the active social service of its students.

中大重視學生的全人發展,在給予學生關懷的同時,亦注重培養學生獨立思考、明辨慎思的能力,並提供各種機會使學生能夠接觸多元文化與更廣闊的世界。入學第一年,我參加了聯合書院的學長計畫,在與學長的交流中收穫了人生經驗。本科第二年,我有幸獲得了前往洛桑聯邦理工學院的交流機會,將於第三學年赴瑞士交流,在另一個語言不同、文化不同的國家進行一個學期的學習生活,這無疑是令人激動的。在一門通識課上,我瞭解到在香港仍有一些流浪者過著無家可歸的生活,這促使我去參加各種義工活動,為弱勢群體提供必要的幫助。此外,學校還有許多學生社團,我們可以自由選擇喜歡的去加入,使大學生活豐富多彩。
