Submission of Nomination and Application

Nomination (by secondary schools)

According to the EDB, each local secondary school has a quota of two nominations and each student nominee can apply for admission to one designated programme participating in the scheme.

SNDAS nominations are to be submitted by secondary school principals to CUHK and to the EDB. The nominations will then be verified by EDB.

Secondary schools should provide the following details to CUHK at nomination. Reference letter(s) and supporting documents are NOT required at the nomination stage:

        • Name of student
        • JUPAS application number
        • Programme choice
        • Email address and contact phone number

Note: SNDAS nominees CANNOT simultaneously apply for admission to universities via the School Principal’s Nomination Scheme (SPN) under JUPAS or the Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission Scheme (SALSA) established by UGC.

Application (by SNDAS nominees)

After the nominations are confirmed by EDB, SNDAS nominees will be invited to submit a SNDAS application to CUHK via the University Online Application System.

Nominees will be asked to submit personal profile and supporting document such as Student Learning Profile (SLP), Other Experiences and Achievements in Competition / Activities (OEA), school reports, personal statement, etc. as required by individual programmes to the Online Application System.

Nominees may invite up to three referees to submit an Online Confidential Recommendation. One of their referees MUST be their secondary school principal. Reference letters including the predicted HKDSE grades should be uploaded for reference.

Verified nominees will receive an email invitation with instruction for online SNDAS application submission.
